Creating lighter metallic effects, pastel effects and different color intensities has never been easier. The metallic shades must be applied on light or lightened levels. If applied on natural hair, the metallic effect could be very slight. The most suitable oxidizing emulsion is the 10 vol (3%) to deposit the color and to maintain shine. If the application is done on very light hair and greater color deposit is needed, it is advised to use the 5 vol (1.5%)
NEUTRAL – A NEW OPPORTUNITY
Creating lighter metallic effects, pastel effects and different color intensities has never been easier. Infinite hues can be created, and their intensity can be controlled with the neutral shade that is capable of desaturating the intensity of any creative color shade. Its specific formula is pigment-free and it has a low alkalinity, its function being to dilute any creative color shade.
milk_shake metallic colorFollow these recommendations for best results with the metallic series:
  1. The metallic shades must be applied on light or lightened levels, if applied to dark bases and levels they could create ash, natural, or in some cases, unwanted tones. For example, the light metallic grey, if applied to a base with a strong yellow tone, could give grey/green tones. 2. On natural hair, the metallic effect could be very slight. 3. The metallic series is not formulated for white hair and therefore doesn’t guarantee complete coverage. If the percentage of white hair is high and the objective is a metallic color, the final result could be pleasant. If the percentage of white hair is low, the same recommendations for natural hair apply. 4. It’s not necessary to lighten hair before using the metallic shades. With shades such as intense grey or blue, which can be applied on lightened bases with levels 7 or 8, good results can be achieved with lightening products that aren’t lighteners (illuminate lightening oil or clear). 5. Being shades that should be applied to light or lightened hair, the most indicated oxidizer is the 10 volumes (3%) to deposit the color and to maintain shine. If the application is done on very bleached hair and greater color deposit is needed, it is advised to use the 5 volumes (1.5%) 6. The advised processing time is always in relation to the chosen oxidizer: 10 volumes 30 minutes processing time – 5 volumes 20 minutes processing time.
